The First Step
The first thing we recommend you do is read through the Juniors Handbook. CEVA has a lot of information to offer regarding rules & restrictions, recruiting policies, tournaments, etc and reading through the handbook will help you decide if starting a club is right for you!

The Next Steps
Club Directors Meeting: This meeting is very important as it will provide you with information about the season, the things we've changed and it will assist you in registering your team, registering for tournaments and making sure you are all set for the season! Here are the dates: Meeting Dates
Documents to fill out: To become an official club, you will need to fill out a Club Activation Form (you can do this at a club directors meeting or mail it in).
Once you've committed to becoming a club and read through the recruiting policies, you will need to fill out the Tryout Information Form. We will post this information on our website so that girls can decide to attend your tryouts.
If your gym requires insurance, you can fill out the Certificate of Insurance Request Form and we will send a copy to you and your location. Being a member of USAVolleyball automatically gives you insurance.

Memberships
Anyone that is affiliated with your club MUST be a member. All junior players, coaches, assistant coaches, chaperones (for national tournaments), parent helpers who assist the players need to have a membership which provides insurance. If one person does not have a membership, it will void everyone's insurance for that event. Read more about getting memberships here:

| One Event/One Day | This a membership specifically for the day set while registering. It is used for players who register just to participate in a one-day tournament with a club. It is not used for try-outs. (Junior players should register for the full membership when preparing for try-outs.) | $5 |
| Chaperone Membership Fee | Chaperones are not required for CEVA tournaments but are required for National Tournaments. | $35 + SSCI |
| Background Screening (SSCI) | Every adult associated with junior players must have SSCI clearing prior to participating. (Backgrounds are required every two years and automatically processed through the registration process) | $17.50 |
| Fingerprints | The CEVA region requires fingerprint approval for each individual associated with junior players (along with SSCI). (Required once unless a member moves out of the state and returns.) | $70 |
| Impact Certification | A coach must have a coaching certification. (CEVA hosts Impact clinics. If you can't attend or were a coach previously we accept: CAP, NFHS "Fundamentals of Coaching Volleyball", ACEP) | $25 |
| Power League | Power League is CEVA hosted tournaments in which teams are ranked and move up and down rankings accordingly. Each age group has a tournament in the months of January-April. | $500/team |
| Regionals | Regionals is the final CEVA tournament of the year. It is seperate from Power League but the Power League ranking is used to seed teams for Regionals. The top 16 teams of the 14U, 16U, & 18U will compete in the two-day tournament. The rest of the teams will compete in a one-day tournament. | $275/2-day $150/1-day |
